Chapter 8 – The Case of the Disappearing Dog

It was a bright Saturday morning when Daisy heard a frantic knock at her front door. She opened it to find her neighbor, Mrs. Thompson, looking worried.

“Oh, Daisy, I need your help!” she said. “Charlie is missing!”

Charlie was Mrs. Thompson’s golden retriever, a playful and friendly dog who loved running around the neighborhood. He always wore his red collar and never strayed too far from home.
