The Ugly Duckling
In a quiet pond, where lilies grew,
A little duckling paddled through.
His brothers were yellow, fluffy, and bright,
But he was grayβan odd little sight.
He watched the swans with necks so long,
Gliding by, so proud and strong.
βWhy am I different? Why donβt I shine?β
He whispered sadly, time after time.
The seasons changed, the winds would blow,
And bit by bit, heβd start to grow.
His feathers smoothed, his wings stretched wide,
He felt a strange new glow inside.
One morning bright, by the waterβs gleam,
He saw himselfβa shining dream!
No longer scruffy, small, or shy,
A swan looked back with sparkling eyes.
He flapped his wings and twirled with glee,
At last, he was who he was meant to be.
From ugly duckling to swan so fair,
He found his place with grace and care.
So if you ever feel left out,
Or filled with worry, fear, or doubtβ
Remember: change takes time to show,
And we all have beauty as we grow.
The End!
